Hi All,
Happy New Year! Our New Year has started off with a better safe
than sorry plan. We ended 2022 with an increase in positive COVID
cases with some of our seniors and as a result had to close the
COA for a week just to be safe.

I am asking folks to consider wearing a mask again to protect not only
yourself but all those around you. It is strictly volunteer but would help
a great deal in preventing any future outbreaks. Nobody wants to be wearing
masks again, but unfortunately COVID has not completely gone
away. So please be good to yourself and each other and mask up!

We are planning to hold another COVID shot/booster clinic,
during the day, sometime this month on a date that is still to be
determined. Please check with the center for the update.
About mid-month on a Friday afternoon we will be entertained by
an illusionist Lyn Dillies at the Community Center. Admission is
free and it is guaranteed to be a fun time! Please call the center to
reserve a seat!

We will also hear, later in the month, from one of Nahant’s police
officers to talk after lunch about public safety and the important
role you play in providing information to them, in advance, in case
of an emergency later on. Please plan on staying after lunch that
day and signing up for their program.

We have a full month, so let’s get at it. I wish you all the
best in this New Year!!

Mary
